As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide individualised support to a person whose health needs require enhanced observation, specialist techniques or carefully coordinated routines. Depending on the package, this may include support relating to acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal injury, epilepsy, respiratory needs, enteral feeding, continence, diabetes, palliative care or behaviours that may communicate distress. You will deliver only the tasks specified in the person's plan and for which you have been trained, assessed and authorised.
